**Note: The MECH 840, 842, 843, and 844 are "topics" courses.  These courses require the student to find a professor to supervise them during the course, in addition to submitting a Study Plan which is to be agreed upon by the Professor and the student.  These are best taken during Summer term when there are few courses available. An example would be an independent study or literature review.
